Information about water

No body function is possible without water:

  • Water is needed for breathing
  • Water regulates body temperature
  • Water conveys nutrients to all body cells
  • Water moisturizes the air we breathe
  • Water protects and cushions vital organs
  • Water makes possible the conversion of nutrients into energy
  • Water allows for the absorption of nutrients
  • Water removes excess products of metabolism
  • Water provides cushioning for the joints
  • None of the above functions requires the presence of minerals
or other substances solved in the water.
In terms of volume, water is the biggest ingredient of the human body.
In adults, water accounts for 60% to 70% of total body weight. In infants,
water may reach as much as 75% to 85% of body weight. In the first years of life,
children triple their weight. Although we may carefully select the products we buy,
we forget about the most essential ingredient – pure water.

Lead, vinyl chloride and many other carcinogenic substances in
our environment contaminate drinking water. Doctors warn that heavy metals (cadmium,
zinc, lead) deposit in kidneys, liver, bones and brain.
Even Louis Pasteur found that 95% of diseases are caused by the water we drink.
